Clarinet & Piano

Adrian Galante is a multifaceted, exciting young jazz clarinetist and pianist with a remarkable command of both instruments far beyond his youth. Possessing a lyrical “vocal-like” quality on the clarinet, his expressive playing exhibits a melancholic romanticism combined with a joyous feeling for swing, bebop, and the blues.

Now residing in the USA, Adrian’s love for Jazz and the American songbook repertoire was ignited at an early age having had the great fortune of traveling to the United States to hear and spend time with jazz greats such as Tony Bennett, Marian McPartland, and Sonny Rollins.

Adrian has performed throughout America, Australia, Europe, and Asia and worked with artists such as Tamir Hendelman, Alan Broadbent, Rossano Sportiello, Joe LaBarbera, Randy Porter, Larry Koonse, Rebecca Kilgore, James Morrison, Greta Matassa, Ashlin Parker, Eric Hardgrove, among others.

“I’ve heard all the great jazz clarinet players and Adrian doesn’t really sound like any of them, he really has a sound all of his own. In his playing, you don’t miss the human voice at all.”

-Will Friedwald

“This young man is one of those musicians you can’t ignore; he commands the attention of both audience and fellow performers alike with his prodigious technique and flair for presentation.”

-James Morrison
